In the ministry since 1962, Ed has served in Alabama at churches in Cook Springs, Birmingham, and Grove Hill, and has served here at FBC Demopolis since 1996.
Ed grew up in Pell City, Alabama, and graduated high school from Pell City High School in 1961. He attended Jacksonville State University for two years, and graduated from Samford University, in Birmingham, in 1996. Ed graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 1973.
Ed enjoys woodworking, musical composition and arranging, and counted cross-stitch, in addition to being a big Auburn University fan (War Eagle!!).
Ed is married to Bobbie Goodwin Rush, and has a daughter, Sherri Campbell, son-in-law, Phillip Campbell in Hoover, and son, Steven, daughter-in-law, Kelley, as well as three grandchildren, Abby, Maddy, and Dawson, in Opelika.
